Asian Athletics Championship 2019: Tamil Nadu netas sing praises of Gomathi Marimuthu
The 30-year-old athlete, Gomathi Marimuthu, who was initially trailing behind, gradually made her way to the lead and bagged gold in the 800-metre run at the Asian Athletics Championship 2019.
Chennai: Chief minister K Palaniswami and leader of the Opposition MK Stalin on Tuesday hailed half-miler Gomathi Marimuthu for bagging gold in the ongoing Asian Athletics Champions in Qatar.
In a letter to Marimuthu, who hails from Tiruchirappalli, the chief minister lauded the sportsperson and expressed joy over her triumph at the international level.
