Amaravati: A mechanical engineering college lecturer committed suicide in Andhra Pradesh, allegedly over a failed ‘love affair’.
M Venkateswara Rao, from Srinivasa Institute of Engineering and Technology, allegedly committed suicide in his hostel room on Monday (June 24).
Rao, a 28-year-old lecturer, who hailed from Andhra Pradesh's Guntur district, committed suicide by hanging himself in his room. It is reportedly said that the police officials have recovered a death note which claimed that he committed suicide over a love affair.
East Godavari police officials shifted the body to a government hospital for postmortem. Police have registered a case.
