Andhra Pradesh: Anger over Centre’s decision to merge Andhra Bank with Union Bank
People cutting across party lines held a dharna on September 5 to oppose the merger of Andhra Bank with Union Bank.
Hyderabad: The Andhra Pradesh government has expressed its displeasure over the merger of Andhra Bank with Union Bank, a decision taken by the Union Government, headed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
The Andhra Bank was established in the year 1922 and has a legacy of its own.
The All India Bank Employees Association Members held a dharna on Thursday (September 5) to voice their disgruntlement. People cutting across party lines gave their support to the dharna.
