AIADMK’s minister: Girls are racing ahead, thanks to Amma’s ‘cradle baby’ scheme
Former chief minister of Tamil Nadu, J Jayalalitha had brought the ‘cradle baby’ scheme, which AIADMK minister Sellur K Raja believes has benefitted all girls
Madurai: Speaking at an event in Madurai, Tamil Nadu, where AIADMK minister Sellur Raja distributed laptops to students at a school, he said that the ‘cradle baby’ scheme has proven to be beneficial.
The scheme was brought in by former chief minister J Jayalalitha with the intention of preventing female infanticide.
Sellur Raja stated, “Today, in whichever field you see, girls have made us all proud. Be it exam results or anything, girls have raced far ahead. The scheme is truly beneficial.”
