Madurai transgender files nomination for Lok Sabha election dressed as Goddess
Bharathi Kannamma, a member of the transgender community in Tamil Nadu, filed her nomination dressed as the Goddess in town - Madurai Meenakshi - for the upcoming Lok Sabha election
Madurai: A transgender from Madurai has filed her nomination for the upcoming Lok Sabha election in Tamil Nadu. Bharathi Kannamma is also a social activist, who fights for the rights of the transgenders. Kannamma has also worked as marketing manager in a private bank.
