
Ahead of polls, paramilitary forces conduct flag march in Ramanathapuram
Ramanathapuram district will go to Lok Sabha polls on April 18 and flag march was conducted by paramilitary forces to ensure free and fair polls in the district
Ramanathapuram: Paramilitary forces and Tamil Nadu Police special force conducted a flag march in critical areas of Ramanathapuram as confidence building measures to ensure free and fair polling on April 18. Speaking about the arrangements made in Rameswaram ahead of elections, district election officer (DEO) and collector K Veera Raghava Rao said that three companies of paramilitary forces (Central Reserve Police Force) and more than 200 Tamil Nadu special police conducted the flag march from Aranmanai to old bus stand. Accordingly, special security arrangements are in place in 188 critical polling booths and 135 vulnerable polling stations.
