World Cup 2019: Virat Kohli explains why he apologised to Steve Smith after booing by Indian fans

London: India captain Virat Kohli explained as to why he apologised to Australia’s Steve Smith during their ICC World Cup 2019 game at The Oval in London on Sunday (June 9). With the Indian fans booing Smith, Kohli stepped in and gestured towards the crowd and asked them not to target the former Australian skipper. Later, in the post-match press conference, Kohli was asked about the incident and he explained what happened. India won the match by 36 runs.
