Some of the world's most beautiful waterfalls may be found in India; many of them are undiscovered treasures that only a select group of locals and backpackers are aware of. And while you could hike to them, have a picnic there, or take Instagram-worthy photos of them, nothing beats jumping into the pools the water gush forms for a brief dip.

As a matter of fact, these natural pools provide an organic, refreshing substitute for the hotel pool if you utilize them often while on vacation.

1. Kempty Falls, Uttarakhand:  At 4,500 feet in elevation, these tumbling waterfalls are situated in the charming hill town of Mussoorie. Travelers frequently jump into the 50-foot-tall pool of crystal-clear water that forms below to have a brief swim. Glide about here and enjoy the lovely feeling of floating, surrounded by verdant trees and jaw-dropping mountains.

2. Tiger Falls, Dehradun:  The Tiger Falls are in Dehradun, some 350 kilometers from Delhi. Take a leisurely dip in the azure waters of the stunning natural pool beneath these cascades. For changing clothing, there are kiosks accessible. Because getting to the Tiger Falls requires a difficult hike and trekking, it is not advised for the elderly or very young children to visit the falls.

3. Dudhsagar Falls, Goa:  Travelers rave about the experience of swimming in the green pool at the base, where water falls into the Arabian Sea, more than the white waters and vistas of the mountains. Nothing is better for a summertime bath than this spot, with its lush forest cover, occasionally observant wildlife, and the thunderous sound of the falls to accompany you.

4. Kakosang Falls, Assam:  This Assamese waterfall, situated roughly 13 kilometers from Bokakhat (Jorhat), is a gift from nature to humanity. You may get closer to the roar of these natural wonders with a 14-kilometer journey, and visitors frequently spend the day having a picnic by the water or swimming in the natural pool. Plantations of coffee and rubber are around the location, and nearby are historic remains that are both well-known and rich in archaeological significance.

5. Krang Suri Falls, Meghalaya:  Situated a three-hour journey from Meghalaya's capital, Shillong, these magnificent falls, nestled amid the Jaintia Hills, are a must-see when visiting the region. The location, which gained popularity after appearing in multiple Bollywood films, has a pool encircled by rocky outcrops and lush vegetation. It is therefore among India's most beautiful natural pools. To swim here, you'd need to grab a life jacket, and for your convenience, there are restrooms nearby.
