These train tracks pass through mountains, lakes, waterfalls, and verdant forests. You must take it once to have an exciting and great journey. 

1. Mandapam to Rameshwaram: 
The 19-kilometer rail journey from Mandapam, a city in the Ramanathapuram district, to the island port of Rameshwaram is gorgeous. Rameshwaram is a sacred site on the Gulf of Mannar that houses one of the 12 Jyotirlingas. The Rameshwaram Express, Rameshwaram Express Special, and a few regular express trains go directly from Mandapam to Rameswaram. A train ride can be used to enjoy an island tour.

2. Kalka to Shimla: 
If you enjoy being in valleys, the UNESCO World Heritage Site Kalka-Shimla rail route will provide you with an unforgettable train experience. Toy trains can be used to travel over the low-gauge railways. Kalka-Shimla Passenger, Kalka-Shimla Rail Motor, Shivalik Deluxe Express, Kalka Shimla NG Express, Him Darshan Express, and Himalayan Queen are some of the trains that operate between Kalka and Shimla. The train on this line moves slowly, making stops at Taksal, Koti, Sonwara Barog, and so on. 

3. Jaisalmer to Jodhpur: 
Rajasthan welcomes visitors who appreciate the beauty of nature. The desolate desert region, dry vegetation, and dunes lend appeal to this magnificent state. Traveling by rail from Jaisalmer to Jodhpur is an unforgettable experience. Several trains visit the state, including the Ranikhet Express, Sabarmati Express, etc which connect the country's major cities of Delhi, Ludhiana, and Jammu.

4. New Jalpaiguri to Darjeeling: 
The popular railway track from New Jalpaiguri to Darjeeling offers spectacular vistas of the Himalayan ranges, lush vegetation, tea gardens, and woods, soothing your eyes. The 83-kilometer train journey is spectacular, and don't blink your eyes for a second. This railway line is also listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site for its loops, where the train travels a full circle track and climbs 20 feet in height.  

5. Mettupalayam to Ooty: 
Mettupalayam to Ooty is a UNESCO World Heritage Site train route that takes you through the magnificent Nilgiri Mountain range and offers panoramic vistas that you will remember for the rest of your life. So, if you ever want to visit the charming destination of Otty, take the train to experience the splendor of deep forests, tea plantations, and gorgeous valleys. A direct passenger train travels 46 kilometers from Mettupalayam to Otty railway station, officially known as Udagamandalam railway station (UAM).
