Taekwondo  

Sabahat Afreen has participated in Taekwondo competitions at both national and international levels. She has won medals at district-level championships. At the age of 8, Sabahat faced opposition from people questioning her choice of wearing hijab during training. Today, she receives immense support from her family and has has won 4 National Championships, 3 Federation Cups, and Asia Championship.

Aryan Khan is an actor and the son of Shah Rukh Khan and Gauri Khan. Aryan Khan is also a taekwondo player. In 2001, Aryan started his acting career as a child artist in the film ‘Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham’. In 2019, Aryan Khan gave his voice to the character of ‘Simba’ in Disney’s ‘The Lion King’.

Jaipur’s Madiha won a gold in taekwondo in the third taekwondo competition at the inauguration ceremony of Khelo India centres in Jaipur. She is only 6 years old but is inspired to play for her country at the national levels.

Actor Sonu Sood has been honoured with the Doctorate Degree of Taekwondo.
