Squadron Leader Ravi Khanna martyred in 1990, engraved on National War Memorial
The Indian Air Force (IAF) has engraved the name of Squadron Leader Ravi Khanna on the National War Memorial in New Delhi. The decision was taken in the last week of September by the Indian Air Force. Khanna was killed in 1990 by separatist Yasin Mallik-led Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF).

Abhinandan Varthaman's 51 Squadron to be awarded unit citation
Air chief marshal RKS Bhadauria will award Wing Commander Abhinandan Varthaman’s 51 Squadron with unit citation for shooting down Pakistan’s F-16 days after the Pulwama attack. The award is slated to be received by commanding officer Group Captain Satish Pawar on October 8.

Pakistan to confer 2 military awards for downing Indian jet
Pakistan will be awarding two of its Air Force officers for downing an Indian jet. Wing Commander Muhammad Nouman Ali, who downed an Indian Air Force jet piloted by Abhinandan Varthaman on February 27, will be conferred with Sitar-e-Jurat while squadron leader Hassan Mahmood Siddiqui will be awarded with Tamgha-e-Shujaat.
