Pradhan Mantri Rashtriya Bal Puraskar  

Jiya Rai, an exceptional Indian open-water swimmer, has made history by winning the Adaptive Performance of the Year award at the 2024 World Open Water Swimming Association (WOWSA) Awards. She is the first Indian to receive this prestigious honor, further solidifying her status as a trailblazer in the sport. 

On December 26, 2024, President Droupadi Murmu conferred the prestigious Pradhan Mantri Rashtriya Bal Puraskar on 17 extraordinary children at the Rashtrapati Bhavan Cultural Centre in New Delhi. The awards recognized their exceptional achievements across diverse fields, including bravery, innovation, sports, art, and culture. This year’s ceremony coincided with Veer Bal Diwas, commemorating the sacrifice of Guru Gobind Singh’s sons, Zorawar Singh and Fateh Singh.  
 

Yash Aradhya, a 17-year-old Pradhan Mantri Rashtriya Bal Puraskar awardee from Bengaluru made his mark in the field of motorsports. Speaking to MyNation, Yash said that he was excited to meet PM Modi in the national capital.

Today Prime Minister, Narendra Modi will meet and interact with the 49 Children who are winners of the Pradhan Mantri Rashtriya Bal Puraskar 2020. The children are winners in the fields of art & culture, Innovation, Scholastic, Social Service, Sports, and Bravery. 7 children in arts, 4 in bravery,13 in innovation, 7 in scholastic, 4 in social science, 14 in sports received the Pradhan Mantri Rashtriya Bal Puraskar 2020.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will, on Friday (January 24), meet the winners of Pradhan Mantri Rashtriya Bal Puraskar 2020, in New Delhi. He would also interact with over 1730 Tribal Artists, NCC Cadets, NSS Volunteers and Tableaux Artists who are going to participate in the Republic Day Parade in an 'At Home' event later in the day.
