A tragic incident unfolded in Rajasthan's Ajmer, shedding light on the dangers faced by individuals in seemingly routine tasks. The unfortunate demise of a bus driver, identified as Boduram Jat from Losal Sikar, has sent shockwaves through the community after horrifying CCTV footage surfaced online.
 

Pooja Sharma, a resident of Delhi, has been engaged with the work of cremating unclaimed bodies since 2022. Over the years, she has bid farewell to 4000 deceased people. Her father is a contract driver in Delhi Metro and her grandmother receives a pension. They both support her in this noble endeavour.

Vijay Kumar Chansauria retired on 31 January 2022. He was the eldest among his five siblings, and his father struggled to educate all the children. He worked as a rickshaw driver to pay for his own fees. He got a job as a teacher and saved money to help the underprivileged students.

Uday Singh Jadhav, popularly known as Ahmedabad’s autorickshaw driver, provides his services for no fare. He provides a box with words ‘Dil Se Bhugtan Kare’ written on it, meaning that passengers can contribute any amount that they feel comfortable with. He has been carrying out this selfless service for years and aims to continue spreading the message of ‘Love all Serve All.’

After getting married, Dilkhush Kumar relocated to Delhi to seek employment. He drove rickshaws there but did not like the work and returned to his home. He acquired his driving skills by learning from his father. Dilkhush purchased a small car while working in Patna. He launched his cab service from that point onwards. Today, the company works with 250 cab drivers from across Bihar.

Raji Ashok, a 51-year-old woman, has been driving an auto rickshaw on the streets of Chennai for the last 25 years. She provides free rides for small children, elderly women, and those in need who may not have the means to pay. Raji’s auto is equipped with a first aid kit containing essentials like paracetamol, cotton buds, bandages, and surgical pads. Additionally, she provides water bottles and biscuits to her customers, ensuring that they have refreshments during the journey.

In 1987, Dharmveer Kamboj came to Delhi in search of work. He worked as an auto rickshaw driver but struggled to improve his financial conditions. After five years, he returned to his village and started making his own agricultural machines. Today, his machines are exported to 15-20 countries.

At the age, when Selvi should have been playing with dolls and cars, she was married off to an abusive husband. Her life became a nightmare and she suffered from domestic violence for five long years. One day, when she decided to run away from the house, her life changed for the better. Selvi learned driving at an NGO in Mysore and became India’s first female cab driver.
