Chennai: The spectators at the India-West Indies 3rd T20I at Chepauk here were witness to the blitzkrieg of Rishabh Pant and his impressive 130-run stand with opener Shikhar Dhawan.

The ‘Men in Blue’ embarked on an aggressive path and won by six wickets. It also ensured a 3-0 whitewash. Apart from Pant's knock, the match also saw a great performance by Dhawan with 92 runs off 62 balls.

The partnership of Dhawan and Pant blossomed after India lost skipper Rohit Sharma and KL Rahul with 45 runs on the board.

But the star of the contest was youngster Pant with his one-handed six that stole the show and left hearts racing and the adrenaline pumping through the fans.

Kieron Pollard, the man on whose ball the six came, was left stumped at Pant's impressive display of skill and dexterity. The Delhi left-hander blazed his way to a superb 58 off 38 balls which comprised five fours and three sixes.

Towards the end, the contest had its dose of drama as India lost the wickets of Dhawan and Pant leaving Manish Pandey and Dinesh Karthik to run the single on the last ball bowled by Fabian Allen who misfielded the former’s shot which secured India's victory.

The target of 182 for India was set up by left-hander Nicholas Pooran’s quick-fire half-century (53  off 25).
