Over 400 people have lost their lives in Kerala floods and thousands have been displaced. To help the State in rescue and relief operations, Indian Armed Forces and several other agencies have been working tirelessly.

Even sportspersons have come forward to support the flood victims but an Indian footballer has personally been involved in relief work and he is winning hearts on social media.

India and Kerala Blasters’ player CK Vineeth was seen working with others in relief operations. He was seen handling relief work materials in Kochi. The netizens took to Twitter to praise the Kerala player.

"Meet this smart porter who is handling the relief matarials in kochi regional sports centre . CK Vineeth , the flamboyant Indian International Footballer , darling of millions in action. #KeralaFloods #WeShallOvercomeb (sic)," a Twitter  user wrote.

Another person tweeted, “Meet an inspiring unsung hero in #KeralaFloodsRelief work Indian International Footballer @ckvineeth as porter handling the #KeralaFloodRelief materials in #KochiRegionalSportsCentre Proud of u @ckvineeth @KeralaBlasters  @sachin_rt @bhaichung15 #StandWithKerala (sic)."

This gesture of his is sure to have a positive impact on the youth of the nation.

The Indian football team captain, Sunil Chhetri, also took to Twitter to urge people to come forward and help Kerala.

He tweeted, "Kerala needs one big assist, let’s all do our bit.”

Vineeth had also tweeted, "Urgent need to transfer two tons of relief aid from Trivandrum airport to Kochi. If anyone has transportation facilities or if you can arrange, please contact Rahul 09048471234. #KeralaFloodRelief (sic).”

The Indian cricketers recently dedicated their third Test victory over England to the flood victims of Kerala.
