India is struggling once again in England as they lost the second Test by an innings and 159 runs at Lord’s on Sunday and went down 0-2 in the five-match series.

While fans are criticising the Virat Kohli-led team’s capitulation, there is one incident from the match which has garnered all the attention.

The Indian fans are furious about the way Cheteshwar Pujara had to head back to the pavilion after a mix-up with captain Virat Kohli.

The first day on Thursday was lost to rain. And the first session on Friday too was washed out. Play resumed after an early lunch on the second day.

Put into bat, India was already two down for just 10 runs and then came the run out of Pujara, who was included in the team in place of Shikhar Dhawan.

Pujara played a delivery from Anderson to the off-side and wanted to take a single. Kohli too responded. However, after Pujara covered half the pitch, Kohli sensed danger and returned to his crease, leaving Pujara stranded. It was clearly the skipper's mistake.

Debutant Ollie Pope grabbed the ball and dislodged the bails at the striker’s end. Pujara had to leave having scored just one run. India was reduced to 15/3.

Even Pujara's teammates were upset with the dismissal. Vice-captain Ajinkya Rahane said, "It definitely hurts as teammates, and I am sure even Pujara will be upset about his run out. The run out definitely hurt us and the weather after that too. I think we did not get to play for 3-4 hours, so definitely as a team, you feel really bad.”

India’s batsmen faltered in both innings, managing just 107 and 130.
