The Indian cricket team hoisted the tricolour in England on Wednesday to celebrate the 72nd Independence Day.

Captain Virat Kohli and his team-mates took part in a small ceremony in London, where the skipper and the coach Ravi Shastri hoisted the National Flag.

The full team was in attendance along with the members of the support staff. The video was shared by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on its Twitter account.

The flag hoisting ceremony was followed by playing the National Anthem.

Kohli made a brief speech saying, “On behalf of the Indian cricket team all the way from the UK, here is wishing everyone a very Happy Independence Day. Jai Hind.”

India, down 0-2 in the ongoing five-Test series against England, will face the hosts in the third Test from August 18 in Nottingham.
