Jakarta/Palembang: Indian kabaddi teams, both men and women, secured spectacular wins against their respective opponents on Tuesday to qualify for the semi-finals of the ongoing Asian Games. 

The men's team, a seven-time gold-medallist, defeated Thailand by the score of 49-30 in its final Group A match. They had beaten Bangladesh and Sri Lanka earlier, but suffered a shock defeat to South Korea.

India are assured of finishing among the top two in their group.   

In the women's section, India defeated Sri Lanka 38-12, and then Indonesia 54-22 in its final group match. They had earlier beaten Sri Lanka 38-12. The Indian women's team qualified for the semi-finals with an all-win record. 

The Indian women's team will play the second-placed team in Group B in the semi-final on Thursday.
