Muscat: Indian men continued to dominate the Asian Champions Trophy hockey here as they defeated Korea 4-1 to remain on top of the pool with 13 points.

Defending champions India finished the league phase with four wins and one draw. They are unbeaten with four wins and one draw.

Harmanpreet Singh was the star for India with a hat-trick. The drag-flicker converted three of the four penalty corners earned by the team. The other goal was scored by Gurjant Singh. For Korea, Lee Seungil found the target once.

India have progressed to the knockout stage of the tournament along with Malaysia, Pakistan and Japan.

In the six-team pool, Malaysia are second with 10 points followed by Pakistan (seven). Japan are fourth with four points. Korea are fifth with three points and hosts Oman lost all their four games and failed to open their account.

Harmanpreet scored in the fifth, 47th and 59th minutes. Gurjant struck in the 10th minute.

Harmanpreet is the third player to have scored a hat-trick in the tournament. His teammate Dilpreet Singh and Aleem Bilal of Pakistan are the others.
