Yesterday, in a tweet addressed to director AR Murugadoss, actor Bill Duke stated that he wants to be part of Rajinikanth's upcoming movie Darbar. The actor, in his post, mentioned that though he cannot speak Tamil, he is willing to play the role of Rajini's long lost American cousin or even Nayanthara's uncle.

Bill Duke tweet read, "@ARMurugadoss I do not speak #Tamil...but I could be @rajinikanth "long lost American Cousin" or #Nayanthara "Uncle" you know they say I can act!!! @sreekar_prasad & @santoshsivan can edit me in!!! @anirudhofficial can compose a #HitSong with stars from all over, what you think?"

After Murugadoss replied in surprise if it really was him, Duke immediately responded that he and his team are admirers of his work and that he would love to figure out a way to work together.

Darbar is bankrolled by Lyca Productions. The movie also stars Prateik Babbar, Yogi Babu, Anandaraj, Harish Uttaman, and Bose Venkat in important roles.

The music is by Anirudh Ravichander and Santosh Sivan is the cinematographer. The film is slated to release during Pongal in 2020.
