Malayalam actor who has been grabbing headlines for his comments on Tamil actor Vijay, saying he (Vijay) may be a superstar, but not a super actor, angering Thalapathy’s fans, is now caught up in a #MeToo row.

Siddique, who has acted in over 300 films has been accused of sexual misconduct by actress Revathy Sampath. The actress accused him in a Facebook post. On the night of May 21, the actress made a shocking revelation on Facebook by stating that Siddique tried to sexually misbehave with her during the preview of the 2016 film Sukhamayirikkatte. She also alleged that Siddique had made verbal sexual offerings when she was 21.

"This Actor Siddique tried to sexually misbehave with me on 2016 in a preview of "Sukhamayirikate" movie at Nila theatre, Trivandrum..!! His verbal sexual offerings made me morally down at the age of 21...i still remember the trauma he made me go through!!!" (sic) wrote Revathi on her Facebook page.

Revathy also stated that Siddique's daughter, who is almost the same age may not be safe in his hands. The actress also lashed out at Siddique's negative attitude towards Women in Cinema Collective (WCC), a group that was formed after an actress was waylaid and harassed.

“His verbal sexual offerings made me morally down at the age of 21...i still remember the trauma he made to me!!! He is having a daughter i guess..!! Is she safe in his hands,i wonder??
