Mysuru: Chitradurga and Mysuru in Karnataka are gearing up for political rallies where Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address the public. Both the rallies are scheduled for Tuesday.

At least two lakh supporters are expected to take part in Modi’s rally in Chitradurga. In Mysuru, the BJP is trying out new tactics to attract a large number of people and make the supporters happy.

Apart from the special gift planned for PM Modi, the supporters have been given the privilege of clicking selfies with Modi. A selfie zone has been prepared for the same.

"A selfie zone has been set up just next to the dais to enable the youths to click selfie with the PM," said MLA SA Ramadas, according to Kannada Prabha.

In Chitradurga, two lakh supporters are expected to gather from Ballari, Shivamogga, Davanagere and Chitradurga. The local BJP leaders are of the opinion that PM Modi's address will change the wave in Chitradurga and the Vokkaliga community will shift their loyalties from the JD(S) chief HD Deve Gowda to the BJP.

Seating arrangements have been made for 45,000 people in Chitradurga. MLA Thippareddy is hopeful of seeing three lakh supporters in the rally.

PM Modi will arrive at the DRDO airport at 1.50 pm in Chitradurga. He will address the people at 2.35 pm.

He will arrive in Mysuru at 4.40 PM and will address the public event at Maharaja College Stadium. People from Chamarajanagar, Kodagu, Mysuru and surrounding areas are expected to attend the event.

Leaders in Mysuru are all set to present an idol off goddess Chamundeshwari, most revered goddess in the region and a Kannada translation of poetry written by PM Modi in 1986.
