Bengaluru: Muddahanumegowda, Congress senior leader who had to vacate his seat to accommodate former Prime Minister HD Deve Gowda to contest Lok Sabha elections from Tumakuru, Karnataka, will visit Dharmasthala and hold a press conference at the same place on May 2.

It might be recalled that the senior leader has gone through a lot of turbulence in the last few weeks. Obviously, the pain of relinquishing his desire to contest from Tumakuru was hard to bear for him. And making no bones about it, he even lost his cool in public and openly dissented. Later, he even filed his nomination as a rebel candidate.

But days after it, none other than state Congress president Dinesh Gundu Rao and leader of the Congress legislative party Siddaramaiah met him and struck truce. But it did not end there. Days after this, an audio clip went viral, alleging that Muddahanumegowda was offered Rs 3.5 crore for the political compromise.

So what will he talk about in the presser?

Sources say that he will be speaking about how he has faced the turbulent times in the last few weeks. Is he considering resignation? Chances are very bleak considering that both the Assembly and the Parliamentary elections are over. Even if he puts in his papers, sources say the consequences will be insignificant because the polls, as said, are over.
