Varanasi: A massive fire broke out at an Air India ticket selling counter at Varanasi's Lal Bahadur Shastri International Airport on Monday morning at around 7:30 am.

Several printers and computers at the airport were reduced to ashes in the fire, which is believed to have been triggered by a short circuit.

Though the sudden blaze created panic among the passengers, it was brought under control in half-an-hour.

Luckily, no one was at the counter when the fire broke out.

Further investigation into the matter is underway.
