Thiruvananthapuram: The social media has come down heavily on Poonjar MLA PC George for continuously making anti-women statements in Kerala. Actress Swara Bhaskar has also come forward to raise her voice against PC George. “Absolutely shameful and disgusting. Dirt present across political spectrums and religious divides in India. Literally nauseating,” Swara tweeted.

Many people have come out against George with the hashtag: #VaymoodedaPC (shut your mouth PC). A photo of PC George with a cello tape stuck across his mouth and his address is also posted along with it.

Kerala netizens seem to be inviting all to the #VaayaMoodalCampaign (a campaign that suggests one to shut their mouth).

The campaign says this: It is impossible to sit back and watch this ‘potty mouth’ MLA slandering rape victims and becoming an unnecessary noise factor in discussions and fights to win justice. So a few of us have decided to help him out by sending him masking tapes/cello tapes to plaster his mouth. You can join in too.

“Buy PC a tape to help him shut up. Please add the hash tag on the envelope, so he and the world knows what the tape is for," reads one Facebook post.

George has been making defamatory comments against the nun, who had accused the Jalandhar bishop of sexually assaulting her multiple times.

National Women’s Commission chairman Rekha Sharma had sought action against George, who condemned the nun at a press conference held in Kottayam on Sunday. George has been asked to meet the commission authorities in person at 11:30 am on September 20.
