A woman has been allegedly gang-raped by four men, including the village pradhan, on Tuesday. The shocking case was reported from the Farah area in Mathura. However, none has been arrested so far even after a case was registered.

The 30-year-old woman was returning home at around 8:30pm, after giving her husband food when the horrific incident happened. She was dragged into a field and raped.

When the victim’s husband called his house to inquire if his wife had returned safely, her nephew informed about the latter's absence. The man asked his family members to look for her in the locality as he believed she might have gone to some neighbour's house.

She was later found in the field in a serious condition, following which she was rushed to a nearby hospital.

Azad Pal Singh, the station house officer of Farah police station, said that a medical examination is being conducted on the victim and further investigation is underway. The four accused, including the village pradhan, Sultan Singh, has been booked under sections of gang-rape and will be arrested soon.
