Tirupati crown theft: Police release suspect’s pictures
On Sunday, the TTD officials said that three golden crowns, collectively weighing about 1.3 kg, were reported missing from Sri Govindaraja Swamy temple at Tirupati.
Tirupati: The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) vigilance and temple city police on Monday released pictures of a suspect with regard to the theft of three golden crowns worth Rs 50 lakh from Govindaraja Swamy temple in Tirupati.
After verifying CCTV footages, the police officials found a middle-aged man coming out from the temple in a hurry. Suspecting him, the Tirupati urban district police released the pictures and urged the public to inform them if they found the man in the pictures.
