Popular actress Nilani tried committing suicide after consuming poison at her house in KK Nagar, Chennai. She was rushed to a hospital. She has accused Gandhi Lalitkumar, an assistant film director, of mental harassment and physical torture. Nilani has two children from her previous marriage.
