Tamil actor Simbu's brother Kuralarasan converts to Islam
Tamil actor T Rajendran's younger son and actor Simbu's younger brother Kuralarasan has embraced Islam as his religion at a mosque in Chennai's Anna Salai. The video of his conversion is now taking the internet by storm
Chennai: Kuralarasan, who is the younger son of Tamil actor T Rajendran and the younger brother of Silambarasan (Simbu), has now converted his religion to Islam. In a video that has gone viral, Kuralarasan can be seen amongst Muslim men with his parents by his side.
The conversion took place at a mosque in Chennai's Anna Salai. Reacting to his son's conversion, Rajendran said, "I am tolerant of all religions and I respect my son's decision."
Kuralarasan has acted in films like Alai and Sonalthan Kadhala. He even composed music for Pandiraj's film Idhu Namma Aalu, starring his brother Simbu.
Yuvan Shankar Raja, younger son of music composer Ilayaraja had embraced Islam a few years ago, following his mother's death. Award winning musician AR Rahman is also one who converted to Islam.
