Sri Lankan Navy arrests 17 fishermen from Ramanathapuram for crossing the border illegally for fishing.
Ramanathapuram: In the past 24 hours, 17 fishermen have been arrested by the Sri Lankan Navy while patrolling on the international water bodies. More than 350 boats from Rameswaram had set sail. Those arrested are identified as Seshu, Ramapathi, Reuben, Gopal, Lourd, Joseph and 11 others. They have been charged for crossing the border illegally for fishing. Further reports from the investigation are awaited.
