New Delhi: The ministry of railways is all set to flag off a special train named Shri Ramayana Express on Wednesday, which will cover four important destinations, associated with the life of Lord Ram, on the stretch of Ayodhya to Colombo via Rameshwaram.

The train will start from Delhi and will make its first stop at Ayodhya. The train is also scheduled to stop at Hanuman Garhi Ramkot and Kanak Bhawan temple.
The train is also expected to travel through important destination like Nandigram, Sitamarhi, Janakpur, Varanasi, Prayag, Shringverpur, Chitrakoot, Nasik, Hampi and Rameshwaram.
According to Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC), the tour package includes all meals, accommodation and wash and change facilities in dharmashalas. Moreover, dedicated tour managers will also be travelling with the tourists during the entire tour.
The train has an overall capacity for 800 passengers.
The tickets are priced at Rs. 15,120 per person. The Sri Lanka leg of the tour is charged separately. The 5-night/6-day Sri Lanka tour package is priced at Rs 36,970 per person. Passengers opting for Sri Lanka leg of the Ramayana Yatra package can take a flight to Colombo from Chennai.
This leg of the package will cover destinations such as Kandy, Nuwara Eliya, Colombo and Negombo.
