Sabarimala protests intensify; 260 people arrested in Kannur
A total of 260 people have been arrested so far in connection with the violence in Kannur in the last two days following the entry of women into Sabarimala
Kannur: RSS leader K Chandrasekharan was assaulted in Thalassery, Kerala, and his house was destroyed by a group of around 25 Marxist workers. Besides Kannur, Perambra in neighbouring Kozhikode, Malappuram and Adoor in Pathanamthitta also witnessed a series of similar attacks and vandalism on Friday night and in the early hours of Saturday following the entry of women into Sabarimala. A total of 260 people have been arrested so far in connection with the violence in Kannur in the last two days.
