Sabarimala protests: CPM workers attack BJP activists in Malappuram

Protests against the women's entry in the Sabarimala temple turned violent after the CPI(M) and BJP protesters fought in Malappuram on Thursday.

Malappuram: According to reports, hundreds of CPI(M) workers attacked BJP supporters during a rally that was being held at Edappal in Malappuram district, Kerala. Meanwhile, bombs were hurled in front of Nedumangad police station, Thiruvananthapuram district, Kerala. It is alleged that four police officials were injured. Many party offices of both the BJP and the CPI(M) have been damaged in stone pelting incidents on Thursday.
