New Delhi: Reliance Communications super cheap internet-enabled feature phone, JioPhone, would provide special digital solutions for its users for the upcoming Kumbh this year.
Just days ahead of the largest congregation in the world, telecom major Reliance Jio Infocomm has launched the Kumbh JioPhone suite, specially designed for millions of pilgrims attending the divine holy dip.
The Kumbh JioPhone offers a suite of benefits for the needs of pilgrims during the 55 days of Kumbh Mela.
The JioPhone would be offering relevant information on the Kumbh, such as real-time travel information regarding special trains and buses, ticket- booking, emergency helpline numbers and maps for navigation.
As the Kumbh would see a gathering of lakhs at any time, JioPhone would also be equipped with a family locator. JioPhone would also provide devotional content and special events would be aired on JioTV and Kumbh Radio.
The new services would be provided on new as well as old JioPhones and the relevant features could be downloaded from the JioStore. Reliance has also created a helpline number ‘1991’ for Kumbh related queries.
“JioPhone is at the centre of innovation and the Kumbh JioPhone initiative continues to demonstrate our focus on bringing disproportionate and true value for the JioPhone consumers,' Jio said in a statement.
Jio is working closely with the UP Police to ensure the services are delivered.
