Indore: Chief Minister of poll-bound Madhya Pradesh Shivraj Singh Chouhan is visibly miffed with Congress president Rahul Gandhi’s behaviour.

Chouhan got annoyed after Gandhi called senior Congress leaders Kamal Nath by his first name.

Following a tiresome day of campaigning in the state on Tuesday, Rahul Gandhi with Kamal Nath and Jyotiraditya Scindia went to a popular food joint in Indore called "56 Dukan".

However, Gandhi, addressing Nath said, "Kamal, ice cream bohat achi hai tum bhi khao (Kamal, ice cream is really nice, you should have it too).”

Shivraj Chouhan was quoted by ANI, "Kamal Nath has worked with his father (Rajiv Gandhi). Is this Indian culture to address a man of 70-75 years by his name?"

Chouhan had earlier taken exception to Gandhi after the latter dragged the name of Kartikey (the chief minister's son) while talking about the Panama Papers scandal. Gandhi later clarified that he was referring to Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Raman Singh's son and not Chouhan’s son.

Nevertheless, Gandhi faces a defamation suit now owing to the "confusion". "Confused Rahul" became a common headline in several media outlets on Wednesday. Kartikey had filed a criminal defamation suit on Tuesday against Gandhi in a local court.

Madhya Pradesh is scheduled to go to polls on November 28. the votes will be counted on December 11.
