Pulwama: Jammu and Kashmir Police had shared intelligence information uploaded on a private Twitter account two days ago with all the security agencies, in which the Pakistan-based Jaish-e-Mohammed threatened to launch a suicide attack on security forces, according to Republic Bharat.

Officials said that in Jammu and Kashmir's Pulwama district on Thursday, a terrorist from Jaish-e-Mohammed attacked the bus of the CRPF jawans with explosive-laden vehicles, in which at least 39 soldiers were martyred and several seriously injured.

Intelligence data released by the State Police was linked to the Twitter handle, in which there is a 33-second video where terrorists are seen attacking soldiers in Somalia. In the same way as the video, the attack was carried out on the bus carrying CRPF jawans in Pulwama on Thursday.

In the terrorist attack in Jammu and Kashmir's Pulwama on Thursday, 40 CRPF soldiers were martyred. Terrorist organisation Jaish-e-Mohammed has claimed responsibility for the attack, stating that the terrorist was named Adil Ahmed. At the time of the attack, more than 2,500 jawans of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) were returning to join their duty in the valley. Most of them were returning after the holidays.

The home ministry is closely monitoring the situation.

A meeting of the Cabinet Committee on security headed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be held to assess the security situation of Jammu and Kashmir. This committee includes the home minister, defence Minister, foreign minister and the finance minister.
