New Delhi: Political strategist and newly-appointed Janata Dal (United) vice-president Prashant Kishor lodged an FIR with the Delhi Police alleging that an unknown person had hacked his verified Twitter account and posted an abusive video against Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Uttar Pradesh chief minister Yogi Adityanath.

The complaint also said that the malicious content had been posted with the intention of causing communal tension.

“Today afternoon one of my followers has brought to my notice that someone has posted an incriminating video having abusive, derogatory language against Hon’ble Prime Minister of India and chief minister of Uttar Pradesh. Through these video efforts are made by some unknown person to create communal tensions in the society by targeting a particular section of the society,” Kishor said in his FIR.

The FIR is lodged with the Special Cell of Delhi Police under section 153A/189/507 IPC and 66D of the IT Act.

In October Kishor had formally ventured into politics when Bihar chief minister Nitish Kumar had appointed him as the vice president of JD(U).
Party spokesperson KC Tyagi had said Kishor's appointment would help the party reach out to social segments apart and beyond its traditional support base. According to reports, Kumar hinted that he considered Kishor as his political successor.

The ace political analyst had worked closely with PM Modi ahead of the 2014 general elections and had a crucial role to play in crafting BJP’s massive victory. It is believed that after he parted ways with the BJP, he was responsible for the massive victory of JD(U), RJD and Congress combine in Bihar in 2015.

But, his experiments with the Congress and Samajwadi Party in the last UP polls had not worked wonders after which tensions rose and he had parted ways with them.
