Mekedatu project: Karnataka minister DK Shivakumar writes to Tamil Nadu CM

Bengaluru: Karnataka minister for water resources, DK Shivakumar, wrote a letter to Tamil Nadu chief minister Edappadi K Palaniswami requesting him for a meeting. This comes a day after the Tamil Nadu government filed a contempt plea in the Supreme Court against Central Water Commission (CWC) and Shivakumar over the Mekedatu reservoir. Shivakumar, on Thursday, told reporters that the project was being considered only for the power needs of Karnataka and not for irrigation. Watch this video on MyNation to know more in detail.
