Mangaluru: SDPI leaders face backlash for their misogynistic practices implemented in the upcoming ULB elections
Instead of using women candidates' photos, SDPI leaders used the pictures of their husbands during preparation for the upcoming urban local body elections in Mangaluru, Karnataka
The SDPI faced massive backlash on social media and rightfully so, for allowing and encouraging this sexism to continue in Mangaluru, Karnataka. Women candidates representing SDPI had to provide their husbands' photo in place of their own, during the urban local body elections. However, an end has now been put to this casual sexism that had conveniently been swept under the carpet until now, after the photos of these husbands replacing their wives on paper went viral on social media.
