Bhopal: Former Hind Kesari, wrestler Ravi Kumar, died after he suddenly fell ill during a state-level competition in Madhya Pradesh’s Bhind district on Tuesday. 
During the competition, Kumar suddenly started vomiting and fell unconscious. He was rushed to a hospital in Lahar. However, doctors there advised that he should be taken to Gwalior for treatment. Kumar died on the way to Gwalior. 
Every year, a state-level competition is organised in the district. On Tuesday, wrestlers from all over the country reached the place and started preparation for the event. Kumar, who hailed from Indore, was one of them. 
Kumar had played two consecutive matches and emerged victorious. However, when he was called for the third time, he refused to fight. He ultimately joined the match after the fourth call. 

The cause of his death is not yet known.
