Leopard dies during rescue operation in Mysuru; Villagers take selfies with dead cub

A one-year-old Leopard died in Karnataka and the villagers blamed the forest department officials for delaying the rescue operation by nearly four hours

A one-year-old male leopard died near Mysuru, Karnataka as the rescue operation launched by the forest department failed. The cub had entered Jattihundi village, 10 km from Mysuru city, and was spotted inside a roadside drain. When the villagers alerted the forest department officials, they arrived at the spot and tried to rescue the cub using a net. However, they failed. The locals blamed them for coming four hours late. The villagers carried the dead leopard on their shoulders and took pictures.
