Flood in Kodagu, Karnataka, brought out its unity. Khatija Umma Arabic college/madrassa in Madikeri is taking care of 530 flood victims. Hindus, Christians and others are housed at this madrassa in Suntikoppa, a village 15 km away from Madikeri.
At a time when flood situation has worrsened the life of people and livestock in Kodagu, Karnataka, religious places like temples, churches, madrassa and masjids have turned into rehab centres providing shelter to victims. A madrassa at Suntikoppa, 15 km away from Madikeri, is housing 530 victims. From blankets to food, the Khatija Umma madrassa authorities are taking care of it all.
