Kerala nun held captive for statement against Franco Mulakkal; cops come to rescue

Sister Lissie Kurian, a native of Rajakad, Kerala, was released from captivity by the Kerala Police. She was under house arrest at Jeevajyothi convent in Muvattupuzha.

Thiruvananthapuram: Kerala Police released Sister Lissie Kurian, who was under house arrest at the Jeevajyothi convent in Muvattupuzha, Kerala. It is alleged that the nun was held captive for issuing a statement against Franco Mulakkal, who was accused of raping a Kerala nun, and is currently out on bail. 

The nun's brother Jimmy Kurian complained to the police as he failed to contact her. Police have registered a case after recording a detailed statement of the nun. Sister Lissie Kurian will also be produced before the magistrate.
