If sources are to be believed, then, another son of HD Deva Gowda is all set to contest the election.

JD(S), which was formed under the leadership of former PM HD Deve Gowda, is often seen as a family party due to the number of family members involved in party affairs.

Sources say that the party has realised that they have a clear edge in Tumkur too as it won three out of nine assembly seats.  By exerting pressure on the coalition Congress, the JD(S) leaders are contemplating demanding the Tumkur MP seat. With support from Congress, the JD(S) believes that it can surely make it to the Lok Sabha in 2019.

It is said that the leaders have decided to push HD Deve Gowda's elder son HD Balakrishna Gowda from Tumkur Lok Sabha seat. If at all this turns true, then four from senior Gowda family will contest the Lok Sabha seat.

When asked about this, Balakrishna Gowda said, he is not into politics. "I am nowhere connected to politics. My family members are in politics," said Balakrishna Gowda.

HD Deve Gowda will contest from Mandya thereby giving a chance to his grandson HD Prajwal Revanna from Hassan. Chikkaballapura MP seat was said to be accommodated for Chief Mininster HD Kumaraswamy's son Nikhil Gowda, which will be the perfect launch pad for him in politics.

Tumkur city assembly president, Belli Lokesh said, "The understanding between Congress-JD(S) is better in Tumkur and if at all coalition partners field Balakrishna Gowda, the party workers and MLAs from both Congress and JD(S) will surely defeat BJP."
