Singh had suffered injuries to his eye and was taken to a specialised hospital in treating eye-related issues. A fight erupted between Singh and Ganesh when the Congress had holed up its MLAs in the Eagleton Resort in Bidadi, near Bengaluru, on January 20. He was admitted to hospital and later filed a complaint against Ganesh who is currently absconding. Initially after denying reports of assault on Singh, now the Congress too has ordered a probe and has told that it will not interfere in the legal process and has also suspended Ganesh from the party.
