Accountant HB Sunil maintains the Karnataka chief minister's accounts along with his family members’. 

In a major setback to Karnataka chief minister, HD Kumaraswamy, income tax department raided his chartered accountant HB Sunil's abode in Kumara Park (West), Bengaluru. Sunil reportedly maintains the chief minister's accounts along with his family members’.

Sunil, who is believed to be a trusted aide of Kumaraswamy, was reportedly warned by a senior police officer about being watched by the income tax officials for quite a while now. In fact, the officer alerted the chief minister's assistant of a possible raid, a few days ago. Apart from handling the investments made by Kumaraswamy, his wife, Anitha and son, Nikhil, he also allegedly maintained the JD(S) party funds during assembly polls. 

After the month of May, during elections this year, this is the second time, Sunil's office and home were raided by officials of the income tax department. 

Kumaraswamy is all set to visit the famous, Ajmer Sharif Dargah in Rajasthan, with his family members. The chief minister is on a temple run after he was throned. He is yet to complete 100 days in office August 30.
