Bandipur forest fire: IAF's helicopters pressed into service
Four helicopters have been provided by the Centre and the IAF personnel are busy filling water from the lake in Gundlupet to douse the wildfire at Bandipur forest reserve area
Bandipur: Massive wildfire has been witnessed in Bandipur forest reserve since Thursday. Karnataka chief minister HD Kumaraswamy said that while fire officials are trying hard to douse the fire, the state government requested the Centre to help them with Indian Air Force's helicopters. Four helicopters have been provided and the soldiers are busy filling water from the lake in Gundlupet to spray it on the Bandipur forest reserve area.
