New Delhi: Vistara's 22nd aircraft will fly with retro uniform, food, feel as tribute to father of Indian airlines JRD Tata who was also India's first commercial pilot.
The Tata airlines will facilitate the A320 neo aircraft with the retro theme from New Delhi to Mumbai on September 5. Vistara, the brand name of Tata SIA Airlines is a venture owned by Tata sons and Singapore airlines.  
This is also part of celebrating 150 years of Tatas and the retro theme is a tribute to founder JRD Tata, said Vistara CEO Leslie Thng, speaking to Times of India.
The retro theme will depict the uniforms, food and colour used in 1940s by the Tata Airlines. Especially the look of its first airline founded by JRD Tata will be replicated. This airline will be ready to fly and has also been registered as VT-ATV, just like the first airline.
The uniform will not only be worn on September 5, but will be seen worn by the crew on special occasions. 
The reports also state that favourite food of JRD Tata as remembered by senior chefs of Taj Hotels will be served.  The dishes will reportedly include cheddar cheese and onion omelette, crêpe au champignon, meat medley, waldorf salad, minestrone soup, herb roast chicken, Goan prawn curry and crème caramel.
