In a major success to Jammu and Kashmir Police, two drug peddlers were arrested along with 250 gms of heroin. The market worth of the heroin seized is around Rs1 Crore.

Jammu Police have arrested two people and seized 250 gm heroin from their possession. 

Police made this recovery from a Santro car which tried to break the check post in order to flee from the spot. 

On questioning, the driver disclosed his name as Javed Ahmed Shah. 150 gms of heroin was recovered from him. The second person disclosed his name as Mudassar Ahmed, heroine weighing 100 gm was recovered from his possession. 

Both the persons arrested were from Rafiabad area of Baramulla, Srinagar.

On further questioning, they disclosed that they had brought the consignment from Srinagar and were selling drugs among the youth. The Police have registered an FIR. 

Vivek Gupta, SSP Jammu told MyNation, "No terror angle has been discovered yet, we are working on every aspect of the recovery." 

In another major recovery, Udhampur Police recovered 6 gms of heroin from narcotic smugglers at Sattani, Dhar Road in Udhampur. 

During checking at a post, police recovered 6 gms of heroin from a person named Akhilesh Sharma, a local resident. Police have arrested the accused and a case has been lodged at Police Station Udhampur.

While speaking to MyNation, SSP Rayees Bhat said," The drug is being used for local circulation, we can't rule out the involvement of any big nexus."
