Srinagar: Security forces on Tuesday demolished a terror hideout and seized a huge cache of arms and ammunition from Manowala village in Jammu and Kashmir's Rajouri district.

Following specific intelligence inputs, jawans of the 48 Rashtriya Rifles (Romeo Force), along with teams from Special Operations Group (SOG) and Jammu and Kashmir Police launched a joint search operation in the forests near Dhar Sakri village of Rajouri on Monday evening. On Tuesday, during the search operation, the security forces recovered a huge cache of arms and ammunition, including two AK rifles, six pistols, four AK magazines, seven pistol magazines, one under-barrel grenade launcher, one radio set, one satellite phone, 680 PK gun bullets, 58 AK bullets and eight pistol bullets.

A senior police official told MyNation that in the area, there existed more such terrorist hideouts, which could be used to target security establishments and other installations.

“Joint team of JKP and Indian Army has recovered a huge cache of arms and ammunition. The operation has not been called off,” the police official added.
